This video is what my spy, Margaret de la Tour wish she knew when she was 16! To make this video, I pieced together clips using iMovie. I used time lapse mostly for the whole thing. I incorporated various angles and such to make it more interesting than if I just had it one angle the whole time. I also used a voice over to read the letter. This was the first time I did a voice over and it was really cool and I liked the touch it gave the video.
For this video, I took a little field trip to downtown Fredericksburg. I found beauty in a range of things, from architecture to the sky to plants to murals. It was really fun getting out and doing something to create this video rather than just create something from my dorm room. I pieced the movie together using iMovie.
In this video, I took multiple time lapse videos from throughout the day (from when I wasn’t at class or practice!) and put them together! Notice how in the first clip, the street light turns off and in the last clip, the streetlight turns on. Also, something to note is the shadows throughout the day. This video also shows the unpredictability of Virginia weather as it is sunny, then it rained, and then it fluctuates between sunny and cloudy.
All I can say about this week is wow. Because it was a struggle I can tell you that right now. I had a lot going on this week! This week was very interesting. I liked the Video Assignments, they were very interactive and I found that you didn’t just want to put half your effort into it, you definitely wanted to make it your best work! I loved the time-lapse video I made. I found out the hard way that video uploading takes FOREVERRRRR so now I know don’t wait to upload things! Overall, for ds106 it was an enjoyable week. Not my most favorite, but it wasn’t terrible! (I mean hey, it could be accounting! yuck!)
I had so much patience to do this! This was a really fun activity to complete. It was crazy to see something that took me 45 minutes to do was condensed to 30 seconds!
